We booked an unofficial evening set at Fulton's on the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee weekend. Our friends Paul Zinn and Luke Kirley did a fantastic job handling the trumpet and trombone duties.
For the second year we played the Boogie On The Bayou in Campbell, adding a few parades through the event into the mix. Luke Kirley sat in on trombone and vocalist Ray Wilcox made his bass drum debut on this fun day!
The Downtown Campbell Business Association hosts concerts on the first Friday of each month throughout the summer, and the band performed 3 street-side sets into the night in anticipation of Campbell's Boogie On The Bayou event later this month. Vocalist Ray Wilcox was a big hit, and Matt Malvase did a great job sitting in on tenor sax. The gig is on the lawn of the Campbell Memorial Chapel, across the street from the Sonoma Chicken Coop. We performed three sets of music as part of a Mardi Gras-themed 40th birthday party at Kingfish Restaurant in San Mateo, California. Performance on the steps of Sproul Hall at the Cal Homecoming event before the Oregon football game.
